You will have a focus on play based learning and understand and support a contemporary approach to learning through inquiry play based-learning and immersive language. Expertise in developing strong and individualised learning support programs for children with additional learning support needs is critical to this position. The early childhood teacher will possess a passion for ensuring appropriate support for children with diverse individual needs.  In this role, you will:Mentor and guide early childhood professionals to support the meaningful inclusion of children with disabilities within their settingsBuild the knowledge and skills of a diverse group of early childhood professionals across the geographical areaImplement strengths-based strategies that are responsive to the needs of the participating preschoolsDevelop action plans in collaboration with the professionals working in the participating preschoolsEmploy a holistic approach to support professionals working in preschool settingsMaintain a current knowledge of curriculum based outcomes that reflect the diverse needs of children’s strengths and abilitiesMaintain current knowledge of individual children and learning styles so that approaches can be differentiated to meet the complex needs of diverse community-based preschoolsDevelop strong relationships with early childhood professionals reflecting child focused and strengths- based practiceSupport professionals working in preschools to develop individual learning programs that facilitate meaningful inclusion in the daily program for children with additional learning support needsDemonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with all stakeholdersSupport professionals to Implement best practice methodologies as per the Education and Care Services National Regulation and Law and the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum.Essential Criteria:Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or equivalentMinimum 6 years’ experience in an inclusive early childhood education settingDemonstrated experience working with children with additional high learning support needsKnowledge of Key Worker model and working within a multidisciplinary or transdisciplinary settingWillingness and enthusiasm to mentor and coach early childhood professionals   working across diverse settingsDemonstrated experience in developing inclusive education resources and supportsSkilled at building and maintaining effective workplace relationships with strong written and oral communication skillsExceptional programming and project management skills, including the documentation of curriculum based outcomesAbility to work independently and within a teamDemonstrated experience in developing inclusive education resources and supportsCurrent ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma certifications.Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training.WWCC clearance. Desirable Criteria:Tertiary Special Education or Inclusive Education qualificationsCert 1V Training and Assessment qualificationYour benefitsFlexibility in your day and options to determine how you schedule your work and travel.Above award salary and not-for profit salary packaging options ($15,900 + $2,649 meal and entertainment card + option for novated leasing of a car) significantly increasing take home pay. Kms reimbursement for travel.4-6 dedicated professional development days each year.Supportive culture and environment.Excellent-Rated Preschool Program.Support from Preschool Director, Customer Care and Administration team.EAP services including access to career support, manager assistance, mental health and counselling services, nutrition/ diet advice, financial counselling, legal assistance etc.Child safety is top priority for us, and we are a Child Safe organisation.
