Expertise in developing strong and individualised learning support programs for children with additional learning support needs is critical to this position. The early childhood teacher will possess a passion for ensuring appropriate support for children with diverse individual needs.  In this role, you will be:Leading and coordinating the educational program offered to children and their families in the class group in collaboration with the Educational Leader and Preschool Manager.Applying your skills and experience in effecting meaningful inclusion for a number of children with additional support needs attending dailyDeveloping strong relationships with children reflecting child focused and strengths- based practice.Developing individual learning programs that facilitate meaningful inclusion in the daily program for children with additional learning support needs.Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community.Implementing best practice as per the Education and Care Services National Regulation and Law and the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum.Implementing the policies and procedures of Learning Links at all times.Working collaboratively with other staff towards continuous improvement in all aspects of the service’s operations.Demonstrating effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with all stakeholders.Benefits include:Supportive culture and environment.Excellent Rated Preschool Program.High Preschool staff/child ratios (4 staff:20 children) with 2 rooms having 41 enrolled children per day. Support from Preschool Director.Support from dedicated administration staff.Above award salary and not-for profit salary packaging options ($15,900 + $2,649 + novated leasing) significantly increasing take home pay. 4-6 dedicated professional development days each year.EAP services including access to career support, manager assistance, mental health and counselling services, nutrition/ diet advice, financial counselling, legal assistance etc.Essential Criteria:Early Childhood Teacher tertiary qualificationCurrent ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma certifications.Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training.Minimum 6 years’ experience in an early childhood education setting.Demonstrated experience working with children with additional high learning support needs.Understanding of current early education and care legislation and regulations including the EYLF and NQS.Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.Self-motivated and readiness to take initiative.Demonstrated strengths-based and family centred approach in working with children and their families.Skilled at building and maintaining effective workplace relationships with strong written and oral communication skills.Sound computer skills.Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the documentation of children’s learning.WWCC clearance.Child safety is top priority for us, and we are a Child Safe organisation.
